Having set up her own skin care business Innocent Oils from scratch, Helen has seen it grow into a successful sustainable niche brand, selling fresh skin care products to customers from every corner of the planet, including A Listers who enjoyed her products at London Fashion Week, 2011.
Helen's passion for demystifying the skin care industry and bringing clarity to the beauty industry for the good of the consumer has ever increased. She campaigns to bring clarity to the industry as a whole, working as a champion of the Environmental Working Group and has been featured in magazines such as The Ecologist and The Green Parent Magazine, as well the popular book 'Toxic Beauty' by Dawn Mellowship.

As a well respected natural skin and body care manufacturer/formulator, Helen combines her extensive knowledge of the ingredients used in the natural and commercial skin care industry with a variety of facial therapies, each treatment tailored, uniquely to her clients needs.

This fuelled Helen's passion to further her studies, focusing on the skin and in particular the facial area as this is often the most troublesome for many of her clients and customers.

For Helen it is important to work in an environment condusive to her passion for formulating organic products and treatments that sing with vibrancy, respect and a true affinity with mother nature.
Working just a few feet from her organic herb garden, grown using bio-dynamic methods, Helen is happy to demonstrate the plants used in her organic products and welcomes clients to select their own herbs and flowers to be used moments later during facial treatments. Almost certainly a first, outside the realm of food cuisine.
Helen works in a temperature controlled eco-cabin which looks simple and homely on the outside, yet is insulated and built to high eco standards to minimise carbon footprint.
Underfloor heating provides an even and constant temperature with minimum energy used supplied by carbon neutral biomass fuel.
During 2012 Solar PV panels are planned for the south facing roof to provide electricity and solar water heating will be installed to supply hot water to the cabin.
The windows are coated with eco film to reduce solar termal energy by 70% in summer and greatly reduced energy loss out through glass in winter.
Organic cotton and hemp towels are provided during treatments, washed in eco, bio-degradable, phosphate free laundry powder to ensure sensitive skin is not compromised during treatments.
Not forgetting, the complimentary refreshments provided are fair trade and organic certified, of course.
